Abraham Wallace, West Alabama: 2019 NFL Draft

Prior to UWA: Played at LSU and Texas Tech … Earned undergraduate degree from LSU in three years.

2017 Texas Tech: Appeared in three games during lone season as a Red Raider … Inserted on special teams in Eastern Washington (9/2), Texas (11/24) and the Birmingham Bowl versus USF (12/23) … Only tackle on the year came against Eastern Washington.

2015-16 LSU: Wallace spent three years at LSU … Appeared in seven games on special teams in 2016, making one tackle.

High School: Dunham School in Baton Rouge, La.

Wallace a preferred walk-on at LSU earned an undergraduate degree in three years while playing for the Tigers. His father Sean Wallace was the SWAC Defensive Player of the Year (one year in NFL) and Aeneas Williams HOF defensive back is his uncle, and Abraham credits his father with plenty of praise for his guidance throughout this process.

He also spent one season at Texas Tech and West Alabama. Despite not making an enormous impact at LSU it was a fantastic opportunity to learn the position and gain knowledge from some of the best prospects and coaches involved in the secondary at the collegiate level. His time at Texas Tech saw action on special teams before establishing himself at West Alabama.

Wallace has good instincts and plays fast. Diagnoses quickly how the play is going to develop and tracks down the ball carrier. Coachable with a good attitude. Flies around the field. He appears to be his best versus the run but does show some cover skills. Experienced in man coverage and playing single high safety over the course of his college career.

Will be best suited for teams featuring plenty of nickel packages at the next level, where Wallace can act as a hybrid linebacker/safety suited to be a run defender but can match up with slot receivers and tight ends.
