His father had him playing football at the young age of three-years old to hand the football off to his older brother. Benson grew into a play-maker early on in his football life and was always the kid scoring touchdown after touchdown.
The offensive skill remains intact as he arrives at the door step of the National Football League in hopes to play in the NFL. Benson inherited his gifted speed from his mother who was a track champion in high school. The performance of the team should label the individual ability Benson has, since Tigers’ went 6-27 over the last three seasons.
He was used all over the football field. In 2018, he played in 11 games and had either 40-plus rushing or receiving yards in ten of those games. The Tigers’ lined him up in a variety of ways showcasing his open field magic.
The foundation of his game is receiver, but he has proven to be interchangeable for a creative offensive coordinator. Good quickness and moves fluidly, can catch the ball without breaking stride. He has a slight build, but his speed is the key to attracting attention.
