Suits the hybrid style linebacker that is becoming vogue in the NFL currently. Think Duane Buchanan of the Arizona Cardinals or Mark Barron of the Los Angeles Rams. Jones IV, resembles their size and ability set that has allowed them both the excel at the next level. The former NIU linebacker is very gifted at locating the ball carrier. He led the team in tackles (107) his senior season. Undersized, but strong at the point of attack, slips tacklers and gets small when sneaking through the offensive line. Excels when things are in front of him, but does have the ability to drop in coverage. Size and ability aren’t for every team in the league, but he does possess the tools to be in camp and impress. Good swagger and brings intensity to the unit.
