Personal: Son of Bruce and Keesha Selby … twin brother, Keyjuan , is a defensive back on the 2018 Hornets … also has two sisters … born 11/10/96 in Wilmington, Del.

Taronn has a twin brother (Keyjuan) who played defensive back at Delaware State. The two formed a fantastic combination for the Hornets over the college careers.

A change in offensive philosophies at school helped mold Taronn into a well-rounded receiving prospect. His first three years the Hornets played in a more spread open passing offense but that changed, in 2018, when they became a run heavy attack.

The running game helped Taronn improve his blocking especially since his knock is going to revolve around him not having ideal size for the National Football League. Like his brother the pair is going to need to maximize their Pro Day on March 22nd at Delaware. They both have exceptional athleticism and popping off some impressive numbers will bold well in getting a possible camp invite by the one of the 32 teams in the National Football League.

Feel like I’m watching a running back trapped in a receiver’s body when watching Taronn play. That is a compliment due to his fight for extra yards and commitment to stay on his feet. He is a fighter with the ball in his hands. Gets to stop speed quickly and despite not being oversized he’ll is tough to bring down. He is a guy who can be moved around the field and dispersed in a variety of ways.

He shows good change of direction. He displays elusiveness in the open field and can start and stop quickly and reaccelerate to top speed. Works back to the ball and adjusts to it very well. Not a polished route runner and may struggle off tight press coverage.

Like his brother, Taronn should text very well during his Pro Day workout which could create a solid buzz. His track background could push him to the low 4.4s and possibly lower.

Could get a chance in a camp due to athleticism and development into a returner.
