C2P - What is your best quality at your position?
MJ - My best quality is my brain. I consider myself a smart safety and I think my play shows it. I know everything that's going on around me. Not only at my position, but everyone's position.
C2P - What type of offense/defense did you play mostly in college?
MJ - I've played in the 4-3 defense all four years. Under three different defense coordinators, I might add.
C2P - What part of your game goes most unnoticed or what abilities are in you that haven’t been revealed yet?
MJ - My speed. I don't think people realize how fast I am. I look forward to showing that off pretty soon.
C2P - What will be your biggest adjustment moving forward?
MJ - My biggest adjustment may be just becoming comfortable in a new environment. The game isn't going to change. And the QB play is going to be a difference. Every week I'll be facing an elite QB. And these guys can make all the big passes.
C2P - What pro player would you remind us most of with your style of play?
MJ - One player I've always been told I resemble on the field is Bob Sanders(minus the injuries, of course). For his physical style of play and he's not very tall.
C2P - How many positions can you play or have played?
MJ - I have played free safety, strong safety, linebacker, and nickel. Heck, I even think I can play corner.
C2P - Any all-star invites and if yes have you accepted the invite?
MJ - I have accepted an invite to the NFLPA game.
C2P - What teams in the NFL fit your style the best?
MJ - Any team that takes pride in their defense and treats every guy like family. Because that's what we'll be, family.
C2P - What makes you stand out? All players are hungry and talented? Why you? Why should teams take a deep look at you as an NFL Prospect?
MJ - I believe the fact that I take pride in special teams sets me apart from others. Special teams is 1/3 of the game. Without great special teams play, your chances of winning a ball game decreases greatly. And I've made plays on special teams my entire career.
C2P - What other schools showed interest in your leaving high school?
MJ - Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Boston College, Georgia Tech
