Missouri Western State DE David Bass

Exclusive 1-on-1 with 'Sack Machine' David Bass

Listen to internet radio with Players Platform Show on Blog Talk Radio

Has developed into a solid MIAA football player and his exploits at getting after the quarterback have proved Bass has the speed and talent that will allow him to get better every time he steps on the field. "Determined" is one of the things Bass says helps him with his success and adds "it's those other then guys" that help him get the numbers he had achieved thus far with the Griffons. The school motto is 'Discover Gold' and the Griffons have found it with sack artist David Bass from Missouri Western State (6'3 258) who broke a school record in 2011 with 20 tackles-for-loss and taking down the opposing quarterback 14.5 which was one shy of the single season school record.

In Their Own Words

What player might you resemble that's in the NFL?
Aldon Smith for sure. Same size pretty much, same height, same measurables.

Is there anything NFL scouts might miss about your play?
I would definitely say the defense I played in. I talked to a couple of scouts who thought I was lazy and didn't give forth much effort. How ever a lot of teams don't realize we played a gap control defense, a 4-3 my job was to post the tackle up and stay there.

College2Pro Draft Analysis
Looks the part of a NFL defensive end, well-built and muscular. Athletic, extremely quick and active. Good leader with high character. Plays hard and competes. Solid instincts and motor that never slows down. Good football player with strong intangibles to develop into legitimate NFL player.
