The honorable mention all-conference standout eclipsed the 100-yard plateau five times, including his last three games of the year vs. Stanford, Utah and Oregon State, with his 22nd career effort over the century mark placing him second in Oregon history . . . Added a second 200-yard performance of his collegiate tenure with 207 yards against Virginia on a season-high 21 carries . . . 2015 — The second-team All-American (Football Writers Association of America) and Pac-12 Conference rushing runner-up (141.2 avg.) broke LaMichael James’ single-season school rushing record with 1,836 yards, posting the Ducks’ highest per-game average since James’ 150.4 yards in 2011 . . . Led the league in total touchdowns scored (19) and rushing TDs (17) while tying for 12th in the country in both categories . . . Also caught three passes for 46 yards and a third score vs. the Cougars . . . Scored touchdowns in 11 of 13 appearances, with his season-high three TDs against Eastern Washington, Washington State, and TCU falling one shy of his Oregon-best four scores his freshman year vs. Washington . . . Freeman surprised a few folks by heading back to school this fall but in the end it may boost his overall value in what many considered one of the deepest running back drafts in years, this past April

Quick and big are the hallmarks of the senior Oregon running back. He is a bit of task to bring down and once he gets that nearly 240 pound body up to steam he’ll get to where he wants to go without issue.

The Ducks’ offensive system can deceive with inflated numbers that hide their true athletic ability. While Freeman, may not exceed the first round status of former Duck Jonathan Stewart he does have the goods to match his production at the next level.
