PERSONAL
Justin Evans is the son of Kenya and Reginald Robinson … born Aug. 26, 1995 … recreation, park and tourism sciences major.

Evans played in the Senior Bowl and performed at the NFL Scouting Combine. It is a bit surprising to hear him admit that baseball was the sport he thought would be the one he played after high school. It is actually especially interesting since he originally played his college football at the JUCO level.

He went to junior college playing both baseball and football and a few coaches told him that safety was the sport to stick with moving forward. Evans knew at the JUCO level he had what it takes and he continued that mindset at his arrival to Texas A&M.

Scouts are going to be quick to see Evans’ ability to play in space and tackle. Evans finished his senior year second on the team in total tackles (87) while surveying the secondary with authority. Leading the Aggies with four interceptions he has the range to make plays all over the field.

He made an easy transition from the JUCO level to SEC without missing a beat. The big stage does not press him mentality. He is very calm in his football demeanor and does not get rattled.

Loves to hit and shows an aggressive passion when patrolling the back end of the field. He seeks the kill shot and will punish ball carries. He sees the quarterback and reacts quickly to the ball thrown in front of him. Excited to see him at the next level and how he can continue to develop his game.
