Briscoe has played quarterback basically his entire life. He loved the position so much he elected at a young age to play another year of flag football at quarterback to avoid the weight limit and play on the offensive line. Except his freshman and sophomore year he was a starting receiver and back-up quarterback. His junior season on, he has been on a terror, producing with the elite of college football.
Initially attending UAB, which shut down the program forced Briscoe and his teammates to search out new schools. He wanted to go to a winning program, one that suited his ability and was not going to be enticed by the gimmicks of college football. He possesses good size and outstanding production. Under the tutelage of five different offensive coordinators during his collegiate career, Briscoe proved to be a quick learner who could quickly adapt to the slight adjustments made from a new man in charge. Immense production, amazing 9,605 passing yards along with 102 touchdown throws, his last two seasons with the Bearkats.
Briscoe sees the field well and gets rid of the ball quickly, and has complete confidence in his arm strength. The Houston, Texas native is gritty, competitive and dedicated. He looks natural and poised in the pocket. He surveys the field better than some of the higher graded quarterbacks in the draft. A true ‘gamer’ who beats yeah playing back yard football with some magical play that makes you regret being late for dinner. A back yard mentality where he is going to make the play to win the game and send you home late for dinner and defeated.
