– Talk about the tradition at LSU and what it takes to make it.
JM – You have to reach that standard and go above and beyond.

– What are the scouts going to like about you ability on the field?
JM – Vocal leader and a guy out there who plays fast.

– What don’t scouts see that they need to know about?
JM – Extra time I put in. Even the coaches at LSU (Would Not See), in my free time between classes I’ll watch film and get into my playbook for a couple extra hours just to stay sharpe and every aspect of the game.

 – Share a story where game film came to fruition on the field and you made a big play?
JM – My junior year against Wisconsin, in the fourth quarter we were down. My team needed some help and I watched film all week. I had double tight to the boundary formation. I knew both guys where going to run the seam. I bated the quarterback on the first tight end going down field. I came up on the second tight end for an interception in the fourth quarter. That turned the game and we ended up winning.

Stop me if you ever heard this before – A great defensive back or safety in the Les Mile era entering the NFL. Well that tradition continues with Jalen Mills. Very naturally athletic. Has great range and covers ground quickly to get over the top. Strong tackler. Plays tough and flashes big play ability. Dedicated to film study. Shows good eyes and anticipation and ball skills. Can line-up on slot receivers. Strong character and hails from a school rich in heritage at the safety position.
