The Clemson Tigers’ offensive unit will be absent of an elite crew of skill position players this season. Quarterback DeShaun Watson, running back Wayne Gallman, receiver Mike Williams and tight end Jordan Leggett.
That leaves Cain with a former three-star quarterback in the class of 2015 in Kelly Bryant to get him the football. Bryant was named the starting quarterback and getting the ball to Cain should be top on his list of things to accomplish.
His 19.1 yards per reception led the Tigers’ offense last year, which emphasizes his big-play threat ability. Cain’s demeanor and leadership will help him quickly seize the centerpiece identity on Clemson’s offense.
