2015: Played in 12 games, with 12 starts at defensive end … finished the season with 69 tackles … ranked first on the team with 8.5 and added 12 tackles-for-loss and was credited with 10 quarterback hurries … sack and TFL numbers ranked him in the top 12 in both categories in the MVFC …

2014: Played in 15 games, with 13 starts at defensive end … finished the season with 64 tackles … ranked second on the team with eight sacks and added 12 tackles-for-loss … also added an interception, broke up two passes and was credited with six quarterback hurries … sack and TFL numbers ranked him in the top 12 in both categories in the MVFC … his interception set up the game-winning field goal at Western Illinois … also added a career-best seven tackles against the Leathernecks … had two sacks in a win at Indiana State (Oct. 11) … recorded at least a half TFL in nine games … tallied six tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2.5 TFL in the second-round playoff win over UNI.

2013: Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team selection … played in all 11 games … finished the season with 21 tackles, including 14 solo stops … tied for the team lead with four sacks and added five tackles for loss … forced a team-high three fumbles, broke up two passes and was credited with three quarterback hurries … recorded 2.5 sacks and a career-high six tackles in a win over Abilene Christian … had a sack and forced a fumble against Indiana State … forced a fumble, recorded a half sack and 1.5 tackles-for-loss in the victory over South Dakota.

2012 at Ohio State: Saw action in nine games for the Buckeyes as a true freshman … totaled six tackles, five of which were solo stops … added one pass breakup … posted a career-high three tackles against Purdue … added a pair of stops against UCF.

Washington HS: Tabbed as the 13th-ranked “athlete” nationally by Rivals.com … labeled as a 4-star recruit and the No. 22 outside linebacker by Scout.com)… member the Rivals 250 … rated as the No. 2 senior in Indiana by Rivals.com … totaled 103 tackles as a senior, with 22 tackles-for-loss, including seven sacks … also had eight forced fumbles and nine pass break-ups … tallied 63 tackles as a junior, including 13 sacks … rushed for 1,311 yards with 15 touchdowns as a senior, plus had 20 receptions for 291 yards … gained 765 rushing yards as a junior … helped Washington to its first state championship game in 38 years in 2011 … transferred to Washington after his sophomore season at Kalamazoo (Mich.) Perkins started his college career at Ohio State but due to the depth at the position he decided to leave and establish himself at Illinois State. Has the size, strength and athleticism along with a 37-inch vertical jump. Plays fast with passion and is tempo setting figure on the defense. Packs enough punch to make impact tackles and is quick enough to slip and avoid blocks. Will line up over the slot at times to cover and has smooth hips for a linebacker hybrid defensive end. Covers a lot of ground and digests quickly where the ball is going. Physically as gifted as any prospect in the draft class. Plays hard and gives great effort to chase and pursue. Throughout draft process you come across certain players that you know are going to make an impact at the next level. Perkins is one of those individuals. Think Jamie Collins just a tad smaller.
