Originally played at West Virginia but an injury (MCL) began a journey that has seen Napoleon wear four different jerseys during his collegiate career. The son of a running back Eugene Napoleon, who also played at West Virginia (1986-89), Brandon actually received offers from some schools to play quarterback but he felt long term options to reach the NFL would be best served lining up at cornerback.
In 2016, he weighed 175 playing defensive back and heads into this season at 199 pounds. The key is Napoleon feels he has not lost a step and with the quality of players around him at Kansas Wesleyan he should be in store for a breakout of sorts this year for the Coyotes. Napoleon says he loves his new Head Coach Mike Drinkall which should also translate into a positive final season for both Napoleon and the Coyotes who aim to win it all.
Good size and ability, Napoleon displays good technique and route recognition. One of the biggest aspects of his game revolves around his knowledge of picking up new systems and adapting quickly to new coaching. He has made modest impacts on each roster that has listed his name. The Buffalo Bills told Napoleon he was a prospect they would keep tabs on and the Tampa Bay Storm called to find out his situation not knowing he had another season of eligibility left.
